Dead rising got traded in after 2 days, and I don't trade in games. mass effect is great, I see why people would want that, its really good. But on pc: mass effect, Gears, prolly halo 3 soon (don't care though boring), and fable 2. Got fable on pc, liked it, played it once through (I should play it again though). Hint to ps3 owners, get a good pc, worth the money instead of buying a new console, or even wanting to buy another console.
He gripes that MGS4 doesnt have features of previous games. Then what is the point in making a new game? Just play the others, then play this new one, that simple. He just needs to go and play some more halo or gears to get his fix of a story lacking game. Too many cut scenes, Just a hint if you push start, there is a word there that says SKIP, try it, it makes the cut scene go bye-bye.
and by the way, the id system being crap, I had no problems registering my game id and konami id, is ...
What you fail to realize is that even new MGS players will be almost totally caught up with story line of the series. If you have played the game you would know that, yes the cut scenes are long, but they are long for a reason. Now, I am not calling out Ninja Gaiden 2 or anything like that, I haven't played it so I cannot judge it, but honestly do you think Ninja Gaiden 2 will have the same level of story line detail as MGS4? I played one of the previous installments Ninja Gaiden for the xbo...
He should be de-balled so he can't contaminate the rest of the world.
How do you think some game remakes are made? There is still a core code that that can be traced back to a games predecessor. Socom Confrontation has remakes of the multi player maps in the new game, from previous Socom games that still have common ties in engine coding (I think I saw that in an X play interview). Even though too human started development for the PS1, commonalities probably still exist, so it has been in development for a while, most likely due to developer issues. So maybe yo...
Correct me if I'm wrong but the 360 does have games with a longer dev time, point being Too Human. At least I think thats the game. 10 years in the process from what I heard. So yes 360 do developers take extra time to hone their games as well (even though the process started back in the ps1 days).
and that wasn't an open zone comment?
too bad gears is not an fps, might be good then
is EGM even worth mentioning? No, so who cares, the game will be great regardless. I would actually like to see some cut scenes with length. The install times wont matter because I can almost (almost) guarantee you that the install time will be nothing like what you will see on a pc. Nearly went nuts waiting to install Fable, heck even Diablo 2 had three discs, 4 if you count the expansion pack.
About PSN not being lag free, have you played Warhawk lately? Ok then compare that to gears online. Yes a difference I know, Gears has no excuse for it either, if I remember correctly it was like 4v4 matches, not 60 players at once. Although I will note that UT3 is quite laggy, maybe it's just epic studios.
A leveling system much like cod4, thats half the reason i still play cod4, amazingly addictive. Gears I bought used, kept it for about 1-2 months and traded it in, and I still play rfom from time to time. Gears was just so laggy online, and didn't really give any incentive to keep playing, looked good but didn't have any replay value. imo.
I love the only con they could find in the game, stress indicator. If this is the only gripe they could find then this is really great news.
Also the PSM review for MGS4 is ultimately identical, I haven't seen such similar reviews for a single game yet, until now.
during the time of install you get the "Acute Heart Attack" because for the last year this game is what you have been waiting to play. The Install actually doesn't bother me at all, considering the rest of my life is filled with bills and deadlines. Nice to sit back and wait for a change.
the dude needs to worry about his own company.
There is easy, medium, and hard diffuculty to most demos. Do you think quite possibly they have the demo on easy for quickness purposes? Don't honestly think they want to show a developer getting handled over and over. Although it would be entertaining.
it said standard def and I gave a little chuckle. would be nice to see it in HD
At least sack it in the nuts
I haven't seen anything, except crysis, that is in the same ballpark. The textures=great, the lighting=great, frame rate=great. I did originally buy a ps3 for this, seriously. But seeing these videos just, well I don't know what to say. How about awesome.
Article just to get some hits
Its not so much Halo 3 sucking, but it really didn't live up to the hype. with the multiplayer: what incentive is there to keep playing? You shoot a guy in the head, he respawns, he shoots you, you respawn. Get the point. It just doesn't hook me at all. Without achievements, Halo 3 would be a 3 day rental at the most. But Mass effect, I've played through like 4 times now, still love it.
